Damned Souls

The flow of you runs through my veins,

Like ticking clocks with endless chains.

Each tick, each tock, pulls me apart,

A constant rhythm tied to my heart.

Long nights descend, too dark, too still,

Too peaceful, yet they terrify and thrill.

I think of us, entangled tight,

Your warmth, your touch, the depth of night.

I dream of flesh pressed close to mine,

Our souls entwined in a love divine.

On nights that drizzle, nothing between,

Just you and me in a boundless scene.

Two damned souls sunk deep in bed,

Where whispered secrets softly spread.

The breeze so cold, the stars so near,

Each moment etched, forever dear.

These nights tick on with eloquence so rare,

Yet leave me aching, gasping for air.

I miss you with a stinging pain,

A longing carved in every refrain.

For every star across the sky,

Reminds me of the reasons why.

Your presence haunts my every thought,

A love so deep, it can’t be fought.

Tick by tick, the night persists,

As shadows curl like ghostly mists.

Only when I yield to time’s demand,

Do I slip into sleep by the night’s command.

The stars bear witness, the breeze consoles,

Our love eternal, two damned souls.

Tick after tick, we fade from sight,

Bound forever in the starry night.

Confronting the Shadow That Shapes Us

Dave White’s Self-Growth and Kiana Jimenez’s I Am Your Disease confront the brutal reality of healing. Where the poem gives voice to addiction and inner destruction, the illustration reveals growth as resistance—messy, painful, and defiant. Together, they show that becoming whole means facing the shadow, not pretending it was never there.

  • Inadequate

    Inadequate

Inadequate is a raw and unflinching reflection on self-worth, trauma, and the long road to healing. Through visceral honesty and poetic defiance, it voices the battle between doubt and resilience—the journey of reclaiming one’s power from pain, transforming “I am not enough” into a quiet, steadfast truth: I am.

  • If Fate Were Kinder

    If Fate Were Kinder

A heartfelt reflection on love that could have been, If Fate Were Kinder captures the quiet ache of what never came to pass. Through tender imagery and longing words, it paints a portrait of two souls separated by circumstance, yet forever entwined by memory, desire, and the echo of possibility.
